The Elders Directorate of the Diocese of Ilesa South West is a spiritually grounded body established to strengthen the Church through mature Christian leadership, godly counsel, and faithful stewardship. Drawing from biblical principles and Anglican tradition, the Directorate provides guidance, support, and mentorship that promote unity, discipline, and sustainable growth across parishes and diocesan institutions.
The Directorate affirms the vital role of elders as custodians of faith, models of Christian character, and partners in mission—working closely with the Bishop, clergy, and laity to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our Mandate
To nurture, equip, and mobilize elders for effective spiritual oversight, pastoral support, and servant leadership within the Diocese, in alignment with Scripture and the vision of the Anglican Communion.

Offer spiritual counsel and advisory support to the Bishop and diocesan leadership.

Participate in strategic planning and implementation of diocesan programs.
Promote ethical leadership and good governance across the Diocese.

Membership
