The Directorate is created to oversee the affairs of
* Guild of Stewards
* Church Chiefs
*A : GUILD OF STEWARDS*
The Guild of Stewards plays a vital role in the smooth operation of church services and diocesan programmes. Stewards serve as custodians of order, hospitality, discipline, and reverence within the church environment
The Directorate is responsible for the following;
* To build a disciplined, spiritually sound, and service-oriented Guild of Stewards that reflects the values of Christ through excellence, humility, and commitment to duty.
* To improve discipline and orderliness during church services and diocesan events.
* Strengthening the Stewards' spiritual growth, improving service effectiveness, and enhancing unity across the Diocese
* To strengthen the spiritual life of stewards through regular teachings and prayers
* To provide proper training for effective ushering, protocol, and security awareness.
* To foster unity, cooperation, and accountability among stewards.
* To project a positive image of the church through hospitality and good conduct.
- Concern with the spiritual development of members
- Plan for Periodical Spiritual Retreat for Stewards
* Organising Orientation programme for newly inducted stewards
* Review and standardization of stewards’ uniform
- Enforcement of proper dressing and identification during services
* Encouraging Stewards' participation in diocesan evangelism Programmes
* Sensitization on Community service projects to promote church visibility and impact
* Establishment of a Stewards’ Welfare Committee
- Support system for members during sickness or bereavement
- Recognition of outstanding stewards during diocesan programmes
Organizing Workshop on
* ✓ Church Protocol and Ethics
* ✓Crowd control and emergency response
The success of the church services largely depends on order, discipline, and hospitality during worship and activities. The Guild of Stewards should remain committed to serving faithfully and respectfully.
*B: CHURCH CHIEFS*
Church Chiefs are key leaders appointed to assist in the administration of the church. They are to serve as custodians of church order, tradition, and leadership support within the Diocese.
The Directorate is responsible for the following:
* To build a disciplined and dependable body of Church Chiefs that supports the clergy effectively, promotes unity among members, and contributes to the overall progress of the Diocese.
* Strengthen leadership responsibility and accountability among Church Chiefs.
* Promote church values, respect, and proper conduct among members
- Encourage unity among church Chiefs and leadership arms
- Provide advisory support in resolving sensitive matters
* To organize seminars and get together activities for the church chiefs across the Diocese
* Sensitizing the Church Chiefs on the following responsibilities in each parish and the Cathedral.
* ✓ Providing counsel to the clergy, maintaining discipline, and supporting the growth and unity of the church.
- ✓ Maintain discipline and promote good conduct within the church.
- ✓ Mediate and resolve misunderstandings among members when needed.
- ✓ Encourage unity, peace, and cooperation among church workers and members.
- ✓ Support church development plans and diocesan projects.
* ✓ Support the clergy in planning and implementing diocesan decisions
* ✓ Encourage effective communication between church leadership and members
* ✓ Establish a peace and reconciliation approach for handling disputes
* ✓ Assist in handling disciplinary matters when referred by the clergy
- ✓ Improve discipline and peaceful coexistence within the church
- ✓ Strengthen unity among members and church workers
- ✓ Contribute actively to church growth and development projects
- ✓ Promote better leadership responsibility and cooperation
- ✓Mobilize support for diocesan programs and church projects
- ✓Encourage proper participation in fundraising and development activities
- ✓Assist in monitoring progress of assigned development programs
* ✓Strengthening leadership, promoting unity, improving discipline, and supporting church development within the Diocese.
- ✓Commitment of Church Chiefs to meetings and responsibilities
- ✓Logistical support for meetings and planned programs
